I am a Certified Yoga Teacher and Therapist passionate about helping people create positive, sustainable changes in their lives. My goal is to support you in reaching your health and wellness goals through personalized one-on-one sessions and group classes.

Exposed to both allopathic and traditional healing modalities from a young age, I sought a system of knowledge that combined my interests in a way that aligned with my values and purpose. This journey led me to Yoga Therapy. I initially turned to Yoga because I kept hearing about its benefits. I was never athletic and lived with chronic pain and various discomforts that I thought were just part of life. However, through consistent practice, yoga transformed my life - relieving my pain and healing me in ways I didn’t expect.

I studied Yoga in the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya and TKV Desikachar under the guidance of Ante and Felicia Pavlovic at Yoga Therapy Toronto. This tradition combines the ancient tools of classical Yoga and Āyurveda, uniquely positioning yoga therapy as an effective complementary healing modality. I’m especially passionate about supporting people with chronic physical and emotional pain, injury recovery, and women’s health issues.

My approach is tailored to meet your specific needs and circumstances. Through one-on-one sessions and group classes, I focus on reducing stress, building strength, and improving flexibility using personalized techniques that work for your body and life.

Beyond Yoga, I have a keen interest in self-improvement. Off the mat, you can find me learning languages, reading, dancing, hiking in High Park, or cycling along the lake.

Julia’s training has prepared her to work with many illnesses, injuries, and conditions, though she is particularly passionate about postpartum care, cancer support, children’s yoga, and fatigue relief.

Julia’s dedication to the practice of therapeutic yoga was cemented this past year as she relied on it heavily while going through treatment for breast cancer. Her daily yoga practice carried her through diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation and continues to support her as she navigates hormone therapy and life after active treatment.
